The Fourth Insight...The Struggle For Power

"Too often humans cut themselves off from the greater source of this energy and so feel weak and insecure. To gain energy we tend to manipulate or force others to give us attention and thus energy. When we successfully dominate others in this way, we feel more powerful, but they are left weakened and often fight back. Competition for scarce, human energy is cause of all conflict between people."

We humans have always sought to increase our personal energy in the only manner we have known: by seeking to psychologically stealing it from others. An unconscious competition that underlies all human conflict in the world. Although we are unconscious of it, we have the tendency to control and dominate others. We want to win the energy that exists between people. Somehow it builds us up and makes us feel a lot better.

  1. Cluttering our own minds with the situations, problems, and images of this world. Weakening ourselves in a sense. Stuck in the only thing we know... it's hard to fathom gaining energy from anything other than the people we encounter or the earthly goals we set and achieve. Though there is a space in our minds that is always aware of a greater source than that of ourselves. We ignore it because we're afraid, or hate it because it's something we can't conquer right away as we are so used to doing. The struggle is definitely inside our minds, the cerebral warfare rages and we have no idea how vital it is to our salvation..
